National Guard troops appear in Washington DC as mayor rejects ‘authoritarian push’

The US National Guard troops began to appear on the streets of Washington DC the day after the President Donald Trump placed troops in the city and claimed that violent crimes were out of control.
Armored vehicles were detected in the city centers and touristic places in the US capital on Tuesday evening.
Authorities, 800 national guard soldiers and 500 federal law enforcement force is expected to be deployed, he said.
