A “disgusting” predator who preyed on a child for sexual exploitation and was found in possession of a trove of sick child abuse images has been jailed. West Midlands Police (WMP) has revealed that 30-year-old sexpot Adam Khan was engaging with others online to find a child victim to carry out his devious plan.

Birmingham Crown Court He heard alert officers detected Khan meeting someone he believed could arrange for this to happen, but stopped the meeting and arrested him in July 2025. Horrified detectives later discovered almost 1,000 indecent images and videos of children after seizing their digital devices. Further evidence showed that he also distributed images of children.

Khan pleaded guilty to arranging or facilitating the rape of a child under 13 and distributing indecent images between June and July last year.

The savage, from Great Barr near Birmingham, was jailed for nine years and six months.

Detective Sergeant Nick McCullogh, from our Force Priorities Team, said: “Khan was intent on meeting a child whom he could sexually abuse.

“We were able to stop his heinous plan and uncover the full extent of his crime, ensuring he was sent to prison for many years.”

West Midlands Police said they “discovered that Adam Khan was interacting with others online to find a child with whom he could carry out sex attacks.”

Police said: “Officers from our Force Priorities Team established that he was going to meet someone he believed could arrange for this to happen.

“But they stopped this meeting and arrested Khan in Great Barr in July last year.

“After seizing the digital devices, we found approximately 1,000 indecent images and videos of children. There was also evidence that he had distributed images of children.”
