“Today at approx 2 pm Singapore time, the captain announced that they are cancelling the adventure…and everyone would be getting 100% refund and 50% discount on their next sailing. It’s really disappointing especially if vacationing with kids,” the passenger added.

Months of delays before launch

The Disney Adventure had been announced for the 2025 Christmas season, however, Disney Cruise Line said the vessel wouldn’t be ready for that time period — a move that angered passengers who had already purchased tickets, according to The Travel.

The ship entered service in March 2026, becoming the company’s first cruise ship in Asia.

Originally ordered for Dream Cruises at the MV Werften Shipyard, the 208,000-tonne Disney Adventure is currently the largest in the brand’s fleet.
