Kemi Badenoch set to reshuffle Conservative Party shadow cabinet

The conservative party leader Kemi Badenoch is preparing to rebuild the shadow cabinet on Tuesday.

Sir James Cleverly, who previously worked in the government as Foreign Minister and Interior Minister, is expected to return to the front bank as part of the changes.

The leader of the opposition was expected to make small changes in the make -up of the preliminary team to replace one or two shadow ministers who wanted to resign for personal reasons.

However, BBC News understands that Badenoch has chosen a larger concussion, including making former leadership rival Sir James a high -profile role.

A party source confirmed the reorganization of the BBC: “The leader of the opposition will make some changes in the front Bank team today.

“Changes reflect the next stage of the party’s policy renewal program and underlines the party’s unity under new leadership.

“Sir James Cleverly is expected to return to the role of a leading pre -bank to fight this terrible workers’ government.”

Sir James has been a Backbench deputy since Toray leadership elections in October 2024, and then Badenoch continued to defeat his closest opponent Robert Jenrick with his closest opponent.

It is not yet known which role in the shadow cabinet will take a wise role.

Former Prime Minister Rishi Altak’s resignation was a part of the honor list in April 2025.
