Doctor’s Family Suicide Attempt In Palnadu; Mother, Child Dead
: The police contacted a doctor from Satuluru village, Dr. He said Gopi allegedly attempted suicide in a hostel room in Narasaraopeta along with his wife Shankara Kumari and their three-year-old daughter, and the reason is yet to be ascertained.
While Shankara Kumari and her child died, Dr Gopi is receiving treatment at a government hospital in Narasaraopeta.
Police said the family had recently arrived from Bhopal, where Dr Gopi was working as a doctor at AIIMS Bhopal and his wife was working as a nurse.
On reaching Narasaraopeta, they checked into a room at Dinesh Grand Lodge, where the incident took place.
Lodge staff became suspicious and notified the police. The police entered the room and Dr. He took Gopi to the hospital.
In the first investigation, it was determined that the family gave a sedative injection to end their lives. The bodies were sent for autopsy.
A case was registered against Dr Gopi.
