Five accused in online gaming fraud racket arrested

Five people were arrested during the Cyberabad police ‘cyber crime wing and special operations team (SOT) joint operation in connection with the online game fraud that deceived the victims through fake game platforms promising high returns.
The identities of the defendants were identified as Doppalapudi Naveen Kumar, Vankadri Sandeep Kumar, Chintalapati Prudhvi Ramaraju, Chintalapi Pavan Venkata Naga Bharadwaj and Mamidisetti Ramanjaneyulu.
According to the police, the group provided bank accounts and SIM cards to a cyber gang operating fake game sites. The gang has deceived users who are unaware of anything with manipulated game results and fabricated snow shows and led the victims to invest in large amounts of money. The investigations revealed that the defendants worked under the management of someone named Verma to Sathyanarayanayan and managed the funds through a game portal called Dodgebook777 hosted on the Supago website. It was reported that they provided more than 120 bank accounts to carry out illegal transactions. So far the police traced about ₹ 14 Lakh in these accounts.
The police seized 2 laptops, 30 mobile phones, 32 checkbooks, 23 ATM cards and 48 SIM cards in the operation.

Authorities urged citizens to be careful and avoid entering online betting or gaming platforms. He also advised the public that they should not share OTPs, PINs or bank information with people who claim to represent online games or investment platforms.
