Donald Trump Announces US-China Trade Deal, Hints At ‘Very Big’ Agreement With India | World News

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump announced that the United States has signed a trade agreement with China and that it soon expresses optimism about a potential “very big” agreement with India.
Speaking at an event introducing a government spending bill at a White House event, Trump said, “Yesterday we have signed with China … One is coming, maybe India, a very big one. We will open India.”
“… We have just signed with China (trade agreement). We will not make a deal with everyone … But we are having some great opportunities. Maybe India, there is a great one. We will open India. In the Chinese agreement, we start to open China in the Chinese agreement.

He emphasized that the US will not make an agreement with every nation, to make targeted agreements or to apply tariffs to certain countries.
“We will not make an agreement with everyone. Some of them will send them a letter, thank you very much. You will pay 25, 35, 45. It is an easy way to do this and they don’t want to do it in the way. Some want to make more than me.” He said.
However, the US President did not explain the details of the agreement signed with China in detail.
Trump’s comments came after the US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer signed a trade agreement with China, aiming to improve trade relations between the two countries. While the details of the agreement are not explained, Trump said that it would “open China” and lead to unprecedented opportunities. A similar agreement with India may be on the horizon, and Trump refers to the confidence in reaching a mutually useful agreement.
At the beginning of this month, US Trade Secretary Howard Lutnick implied that a trade agreement between the US and India could soon be finalized and that both countries could work to find a common ground in accordance with their interests. According to Ani, the potential agreement will take an important step in strengthening the trade ties between the two countries.
“I think to be in a very good place, and you should expect an agreement between the US and India in a not too distant future because I think we have found a really useful place for both countries.” When asked if he was hopeful about the result, Lutnick said that he was “very optimistic” and added, “It may be as I encounter.”
