US President Donald Trump said in a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday that he asked both sides to stop the conflict. Trump said they were mainly there to save lives and prevent thousands of people from dying every day.
“I met with President Zelenskyy today and we had a very nice, very cordial meeting. They must stop the war immediately. Go from the battle line, wherever it is. Otherwise, it is very complicated. Trump also said that there will probably be another meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy and that they are making progress. “I would say it will most likely be a bilateral meeting… but we will be in contact with President Zelenskyy. It is an honor to be with a very strong leader, a man who has been through a lot and a man I know very well… Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has endured a lot… I think we have made great progress,” he said.
