Donald Trump rages ‘everybody hates Israel’ in tense phone call with Netanyahu | World | News

“I’m saving your ass. Now everyone hates you. That’s why everyone hates Israel.”

The report on Trump’s outburst comes after tensions rose in the Middle East after Iran threatened to attack Israel if attacks on Lebanon continued.

After a “very productive meeting” with Netanyahu and later Hezbollah leaders, Trump said “no action could be taken.” [Israeli] The troops heading towards Beirut were turned back.

The United States and Israel launched a joint attack on several key Iranian sites on February 28, and Iran retaliated by striking sites in the Middle East and blocking the Strait of Hormuz waterway, through which 20% of global oil trade passes.

A fragile, short-term ceasefire remains in place, but no long-term agreement has been reached.

The US leader said in an interview on Monday that he thought an agreement with Iran to extend the ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz could happen “within the next week.”

“There was a little glitch today, but as you probably noticed before, I turned it around very quickly,” Trump told ABC News.

The problem, he said, was Iran’s involvement in Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.

“So I talked to Hezbollah, said there would be no shooting, and I also talked to Bibi. [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu]“They said no shooting and they both stopped shooting at each other,” Trump said.
