Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy say date nights now include ‘The Chosen’

Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy’s date nights revolve around their faith these days.
At the 2026 iHeartRadio Awards, Wahlberg told Fox News Digital that he loves watching shows like “The Chosen” with his wife of nearly 12 years.
“Aside from things like that,” Wahlberg began, referring to the awards show, “Even though date night for us typically looks like… we make a big plan, we’re about to get ready, and then we’re like, Oh, let’s stay in and watch ‘The Chosen.’

“Then we watch ‘The Chosen.’ Wahlberg is kind of like date nights these days,” he said.

McCarthy added, “Yes, yes, yes. Definitely takeout and sitting back.”

McCarthy said it was a nice experience to attend the 2026 iHeartRadio Awards, where 50-year-olds are still presenting.
“Well, date night…it’s a fun night for us! You know what I mean? I said to Donnie, it’s not too bad to still have some 50-year-olds in the house who are asked to do presentations!” started.

“You know what I mean? In my MTV days, I was around 20 and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I was saying. Now I’m in my 50s and I’m thinking, ‘Okay, we’re still here, we’re still presenting, you’re still a rock star,'” McCarthy said.
The 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards were held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, hosted by Ludacris.

The couple met in 2013 when Wahlberg appeared on McCarthy’s talk show “The Jenny McCarthy Show” and the two shared a flirty exchange. They married in 2014 and have since been known for their playful, affectionate dynamic and often sharing glimpses of their lives together online.
More than a decade later, they continue to prioritize their relationship through the unique tradition of renewing their wedding vows every year.

“I used to make fun of celebrities when they did that or people in general when they renewed their vows,” the “Masked Singer” judge admitted. “I said, ‘This is so corny and weird. Your wedding is over. Just stay married,’ and then Donnie – this is a tradition that Donnie wants to follow.”
“‘I want to remind each other of our vows,’ and talk about it, just like our pastor reminds us of the year and gives us something to think about as the year progresses,” McCarthy continued.
