Driver dies after box truck lands on his car in San Antonio-area crash

A man is dead after a box truck crashed and crashed into a sedan outside San Antonio, according to the Seguin Police Department.
Around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to a major crash at the intersection of the State Highway 123 Bypass and Interstate 10, police said in a news release.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a white Hino box truck was traveling westbound on I-10 when it left the roadway. The truck crashed into the northbound lane of State Highway 123, striking a gray sedan and landing on a red sedan.

It was determined that the driver of the red vehicle died at the scene. Police identified him as 63-year-old Anthony Stephenson of Seguin.
First responders took the truck driver and the driver of the gray sedan to the hospital. Police did not provide information about their condition.
Authorities temporarily closed the intersection to investigate and clear the crash scene.
Police said Wednesday that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
