Driver of four-wheel drive flees after smashing into walls in South Perth

A neighborhood was shaken by “terrible screams followed by a loud explosion and screeching tyres” as a four-wheel-drive vehicle crashed through two walls and headed for fences.
The Toyota Hilux driver became a runner following the harrowing incident on Ridge Street in South Perth, near Kensington, at around 6.20pm on Monday.
A neighbor described the white vehicle “coming down the street, crashing into a house down the road, trying to back up, hitting the wall of the house next door, and then trying to turn around, lost control and crashed into the third fence.”
While the car stopped, the driver left the scene on foot.
Police have asked for the public’s help in their investigation.
