DTO Killed as Coal Tipper Rams Transport Officer During Vehicle Check in Bhupalpally

Bhupalpally: A District Transport Officer (DTO) died in a tragic road accident when a coal-laden dumper truck hit him while inspecting vehicles in Ganapuram mandal on Monday.

The incident took place on the Parakala-Bhupalpally highway near Chelpoor, opposite the RTO office, when officials were checking vehicles as part of routine inspection activity.

The police officer, identified as Venkanna, who was transferred to Bhupalpally just 15 days ago, died on the spot after being hit by a speeding dumper. It was reported that his body was severely shattered due to the impact.

Police said the dumper driver was detained and the investigation continues.
