Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are married! Singer dazzles in a white skirt suit for London legal ceremony ahead of their three-day Italian extravaganza

She became a household name in the 2010s with her catchy dance songs about searching for love and dealing with complicated breakups.

But Dua Lipa found her happily ever after by marrying Callum Turner at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London on Saturday morning.

The New Rules singer, 30, had a romance with James Bond leading man Callum, 36, in 2024 and One Kiss was all it took to make them legally husband and wife over the weekend.

The couple had an intimate legal ceremony ahead of their three-day Italian extravaganza next week. Dua exuded bridal elegance in a white skirt suit paired with a wide-brimmed hat.

The One Kiss singer wore white heels and a yellow bouquet as she left the registry office hand in hand with her new husband.

Meanwhile, Callum got ready for a dapper groom in a fitted navy blue suit.

The newlyweds were applauded by close family before jumping into the back of a black taxi and embracing as they were whisked away to begin married life together.

The newlyweds were all smiles as they stepped out to shower their loved ones with confetti.

Family members joked about Dua’s low-key departure from the wedding, saying she wanted a black taxi for her big day.

The singer arrived in a Green Land Rover and went in with a friend, while Callum arrived separately.

The ceremony lasted just 30-40 minutes and Callum grinned boyishly as he held his new wife’s hand and walked her down the stairs under a rainbow of confetti.

The pop star, who has been vocal about his pro-Palestinian views, got married at the Sammy Ofer Center, dedicated to the Israeli shipping magnate.

After taking the vows, they were now legally married before their marriage. The big party that will last from Thursday to Saturday in Palermo, the capital of Sicily.

Ahead of the ceremony, insiders are hailing the couple’s nuptials as the “showbiz wedding of the year” and describing it as Sicily’s most high-profile marriage since Al Pacino’s Michael Corleone married Apollonia Vitelli in the 1972 classic The Godfather.

No expense was spared for the big day, with the couple reportedly booking an entire floor at the luxury Villa Igiea hotel overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The ceremony will take place at the 17th-century Villa Valguarnera, perhaps the most magnificent of the villas in Bagheria, an idyllic town ten miles from the capital.

Sir Elton John, Mark Ronson and Charli XCX, as well as fashion world’s Donatella Versace and Simon Porte Jacquemus, are among the music stars who will attend.

Ahead of the wedding, Dua is believed to have traveled to Italy to meet Donatella to finalize the details of the dress she designed for the singer to wear on her big day.

Due to her long-standing friendship with the designer, friends believe Dua will wear a custom Atelier Versace gown.

A source close to the wedding told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind: ‘This is going to be a very cool and very glamorous wedding.

‘Both Dua and Callum were thrilled and really involved in the planning. They want it to be epic.’

Confirming the news last year, Dua shared her joy with British Vogue magazine as follows: ‘Yes, we are engaged. Very exciting…

‘This decision to grow old together, to see a new life and, I don’t know, to be best friends forever is a really special feeling.’

Speaking about her wedding plans, Dua said she hopes to finish her tour and complete filming before Callum gets married.

Although the wedding wasn’t at the forefront of her mind due to her busy touring schedule, she admitted that she started thinking about her dress.

He said: ‘I want to finish my tour, filming Callum, so we’re enjoying this period…

‘I’ve never really been one to think about a wedding or imagine what kind of bride I would be. Suddenly I thought: “Oh, what would I wear?”

The couple couldn’t wipe the smile off their faces as they left the venue hand in hand.

It was an enjoyable day for everyone, as can be seen from the smiles on their faces.

Now that the legal ceremony is complete, the couple will be looking forward to their big wedding party in the Sicilian capital, Palermo, from Thursday to Saturday.

Dua said she was ‘obsessed’ with her engagement ring and said: ‘It’s nice to know that the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you so well.’

The Dance the Night Away hitmaker also admitted that she wants to have a family of her own but doesn’t know when there will be a ‘good time’ due to the demands of her pop career.

She said: ‘I would love to have children one day.

‘But it’s like the constant question of when can I have a good time? ‘It’s a question of how it will fit into my work, how it will work if I go on tour and how much time I need to dedicate.’

While the year has gotten off to a good start for newlyweds Dua and Callum, it could get even better if Callum lands the coveted James Bond job.

Sources told The Mail on Sunday that Callum, the bookies’ favorite to take over from Daniel Craig, has told friends the role is his.

A source close to the Fantastic Beasts star said: ‘He’s been chattering all over town. Callum has been confirmed as the new Bond. Everyone around him is talking about it. ‘This is the worst kept secret.’

If Callum acquires 007’s famous Walther PPK pistol, producers at Amazon could strike a one-on-one deal with Dua to create a new song for the opening and closing credits.

Dua, who previously wrote Swan Song for the 2019 sci-fi film Alita: Battle Angel, is keen to join the Bond juggernaut, following the likes of Adele, Billie Eilish and Sam Smith.

The source said: ‘Dua is so happy for Callum. He was saying he’d love to record the Bond theme.’

Raised in social housing in London, Callum started his career as a Next model and got his big break playing Theseus Scamander in the Harry Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and its sequel The Secrets of Dumbledore.

He received critical acclaim for his role in the 2023 film The Boys In The Boat, directed by George Clooney, and as Major John ‘Bucky’ Egan in the Apple TV show Masters Of The Air, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.

The next 007 film, known as Bond 26 because it is the 26th film in the series, has been one of Hollywood’s most anticipated films since the four years since No Time to Die.

Shooting may begin this year for a release in 2027.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, who control the franchise through Eon Productions, sold the Bond rights to Amazon for $1 billion in February last year.

Bond 26 will be written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and directed by Dune director Denis Villeneuve.

Studio insiders have previously told MoS that the script was written ‘without a specific actor in mind’, but Bezos and Villeneuve wanted someone ‘young and British’ to take on the role.
