Andhra Minister NMD Farooq flags off final batch of Haj pilgrims from Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Minority Welfare N Md. Farooq officially flagged off the second batch of Hajj pilgrims arriving from Gannavaram airport, marking another phase in the State’s arrangements for the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. A total of 177 pilgrims set out as part of the final batch on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Addressing the pilgrims at the meeting held at the SM Convention Center in Gannavaram, the Minister conveyed his best wishes and expressed hope for a safe and successful completion of their holy journey to Mecca and Medina.
