Residents of southeast Bengaluru heading towards the city center and beyond are greeted with clouds of dust, incessant honking of horns and a strong odor from the waste transfer station on Srinivagilu Main Road near the National Games Village (NGV) as whitewashing work continues.
It takes around five minutes to cover the 750-metre stretch of Srinivagilu Main Road from Regional Passport Office in Koramangala to Ejipura Main Road during peak hours as this stretch has more than three bottlenecks. Adding to the misery, the parallel Central Ring Road (IRR) is already congested at Sony Signal and Ejipura Junction, making commuting in the area a Herculean task.
