Dutton for US ambassador, Australian Open crypto grift

For Pete’s sake: Yesterday, we published a list of all the names considered to replace Kevin Rudd as US ambassador. While we marveled at the ferocity of the media speculation (25 names in 24 hours), our goal was for this to be the definitive list.

But after the list was published, frontrunner Stephen Conroy eliminated himself and a new name emerged who has dominated the guessing game ever since: Peter Dutton.
