In the 6th game of the New York Knicks-Atlanta Hawks series, disappointment increased even more with the Knicks’ surprising 50-point lead in the first half.
Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson and Hawks guard Dyson Daniels were ejected from the game for double technical fouls after instigating a charge that led to the referee slamming the court in the second quarter.
At that time, the Knicks were ahead by a huge margin of 72-22 when New York made free throws. When OG Anunoby got his first opportunity, Robinson and Daniels were seen face to face, which led to an aggressive embrace.

One of the officers tried to break up the conflict, but lost his balance and crashed into a hardwood tree. Meanwhile, Robinson was trying to get back to Daniels, and both the Hawks and Knicks players were trying to hold off others in the trade.
Robinson and Daniels continued to jaw at each other, repeatedly trying to confront each other as coaches and officials tried to calm them down.

When Robinson and Daniels returned to their respective benches, both players were ejected after further review.
Replay showed Daniels elbowing Robinson in the chest as Anunoby made the free throw, and the Knicks center reacted accordingly. It ultimately led to the early departure of both players.

The Knicks came into this game away from Atlanta with a chance to advance to the second round of the NBA Play-offs, but maybe even they didn’t expect what happened in the first half.
When the buzzer rang at the end of the second quarter, the Knicks entered the locker room ahead 83-36. The situation does not look good for the Hawks, who shot 31% from the field and had 14 turnovers despite the remaining two quarters.
Meanwhile, the Knicks couldn’t stop taking their shots, especially Anunoby, who as a team had more points than the Hawks in the first half. He finished the half with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists on 10/12 shooting. He also recorded four steals for New York.

Mikal Bridges (16 points) and Jalen Brunson (13 points) also contributed to the Knicks’ high total, while Karl-Anthony Towns also made all 10 free throw attempts in the first half.
Things look bleak for the Hawks as the third quarter begins, and perhaps even more tempers could flare if the game remains completely out of reach for Atlanta.
