An easyJet flight to Scotland was dramatically diverted after a passenger was allegedly “assaulted” in the air.

The plane traveling from Tenerife to Glasgow was supposed to land on Wednesday, April 29, but had to return to Porto unplanned following reports of disruption to the plane.

Flight EZY3114 was rerouted after passengers began behaving “disturbingly”, prompting the crew to take urgent action. It was understood that a passenger was beaten during the incident.

The plane landed in Porto, where police were waiting on the runway to meet the plane and deal with the situation.

After the intervention, the plane continued its journey and arrived in Glasgow.
