EC orders fresh polls at all 285 booths in Bengal’s Falta constituency

Kolkata: Fresh polls will be conducted at all 285 polling stations, including Auxiliary polling stations in Falta Assembly Constituency in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed on Saturday.

“Following serious electoral offenses and disruption of the democratic process during voting at multiple polling stations in 144-Falta Assembly Constituency in West Bengal on April 29, 2026”, the ECI said in a statement that voting will be held in all 285 on May 21.

“Fresh voting at all polling stations will be held between 07.00 am and 18.00 pm on 21 May 2026, and vote counting will take place on 24 May 2026,” ECI said.
