EC Releases List of Deleted Voters in Bengal Draft Rolls

Kolkata: Just hours before the release of draft electoral rolls in West Bengal, where assembly elections will be held early next year, the Election Commission published the names of deleted voters on its website on Tuesday morning.

The list includes voters whose names were on the state’s voter rolls in 2025 but were purged from the 2026 draft rolls.

The list is now available on the commission’s portal link ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/asd_sir.

According to commission sources, the number of “uncollected SIR census forms” exceeds 58 lakh and have been deleted due to their absence from their registered address, permanent displacement, death or being marked as “duplicate” voters in more than one constituency.

“Aggrieved persons may submit their claims in Form 6, together with the Declaration Form and supporting documents, after the publication of the draft list, within the period specified for the receipt of requests and objections, that is, between 16/12/2025 and 15/01/2026,” the commission said on its website.

Elections to the 294-member West Bengal Assembly will be held early next year.
