ED issues fresh summons to Rana Daggubati

The Executive Directorate (ED) issued new calls to Actor Rana Daggubati in connection with the investigation of the allegation of the promotion of illegal online betting platforms. The sources in ED confirmed that the actor was asked to appear on August 11 after a request for additional time. It was previously directed to appear in person on July 23rd.
ED called a few other film and television personality as part of the probe. Actor Prakash Raj was followed on July 30, followed by Vijay Deverakonda on August 6 and Manchu Lakshmi on August 13th.
The calls were published at the beginning of this month after registering an enforcement case information report (ecır), which named 29 people, including actors, television people, Youtubers and impressives. The case is based on five brushs registered in Panjagutta, Miyapur, Cyberabad, Suriapet and Visakhapatnam, referring to the suspicious violations of the Public Gambling Law of 1867.
ED, celebrities Junglee Rummy, A23, Jeetwin, Parimatch and Lotus365 introducing betting platforms, such as suspects, is claimed to have received a significant amount for paid online approvals. Authorities say that many of these promotions are presented as entertainment or help -oriented content, but are actually targeted campaigns for irregular gambling. After a complainant responded to a Youtube confirmation, he claimed that there was more than ₹ 3 Crore.
Among those called Praneetha and Nidhi Agarwal, and Media Nagella, Siri Hanumanthu, Sreemukhi, Varshini Sounderajan, Vasanthi Krishnan and Shoba Setty.
ED is currently examining whether the approval is a part of a coordinated strategy to direct users to unauthorized betting platforms. As the investigation deepens, more calls are expected in the coming days.
