Eight TSPC Maoists arrested in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag

“Eight Naxals [Maoists] Police said on Monday, March 23, 2026, that persons belonging to the banned Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) team were arrested and their weapons and ammunition were seized from them in Hazaribag district of Jharkhand.
“Security forces acted on a tip-off and caught the Naxals. [Maoists] “On Saturday, March 21, 2026, under the jurisdiction of the Urimari police station,” they said.

“We arrested eight Naxals [Maoists] From TSPC. Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Amit Anand said two INSAS rifles, one village-made pistol, 130 cartridges, a four-wheeler and seven mobile phones were seized from their possession.
“Naxals arrested during preliminary investigation [Maoists] On February 12, they were involved in a shooting incident during extortion bids at Patratu in Ramgarh district,” Mr. Anand said.
“Arrested Naxals [Maoists] The SDPO said that they were operating under the instructions of TSPC’s regional commander Bhikhan Gajhu and what he called sub-regional commander Dinesh alias Ravi Ram.
“An FIR was sent to Urimari police station and all the accused were sent to judicial custody,” he added.
