Elon Musk says he is launching new political party

Elon Musk said he launched a new political party weeks after a dramatic decline with US President Donald Trump.

The billionaire announced that it has established the American Party in the Social Media Platform X and bills it as a challenge for a republican and democratic two -party system.

However, it is unclear whether the party is officially registered to the US election authorities, and Musk did not provide details about who would lead or which form.

He first increased the possibility of launching a party with Trump during a public case, which he quit his role in the administration and entered a vicious public saliva with his old ally.

Meanwhile, Musk issued a questionnaire asking if X users would be a new political party in the USA.

Musk, who referred to this survey on Saturday, wrote: “You want a new political party with 2 to 1 factor and you will have it!

“When it comes to banking our country with waste and graft, we live in a single -party system, not a democracy.

“Today, the American party was founded to give you your freedom back.”

As of Saturday, the Federal Election Commission had not published documents showing that the party was officially registered.

Musk was an important Trump defender in the 2024 elections and spent $ 250 million (£ 187 million) to help him regain his office.

After the election, he was appointed to lead the so -called State Productivity (Doge), assigned to determine the Swingeing cuts in the federal budget.
