‘I have always dreamed big since my childhood in Northampton and have always been fascinated by the history and romance of a stately home.
‘When I’m 50, I feel like it’s time, all I want is a turret that I can call my own; taking me over that suspension bridge.’
The revamp series, which has the working title Castle Man, will take on a similar plot to his show with Amanda Holden.
The series is reportedly produced by Expectation, the same company responsible for Clarkson’s Farm.
The Daily Mail has contacted Alan’s representatives for comment.
It could be coming at the right time, as it was revealed last week that he and Amanda’s popular BBC home renovation show could be tapped this year, following a series of castle-themed renovations.
The new deal means Alan is unlikely to find time to film his and Amanda’s hit BBC series The Italian Job this year due to his busy work schedule.
What’s more, the Celebrity Traitors winner has reportedly secured work with two more broadcasters starting this year; His diary is already packed after devouring most of 2027 with a massive stand-up tour.

A source told the Daily Mail there were also issues over the location of the renovation show, with Amanda and Alan heading to Japan while the BBC was keen on cheaper and more accessible Scandinavia.
An insider explained: ‘As time went on both Amanda and Alan’s diaries began to fill up with other projects and it soon became impossible to devote enough time to filming this year.
‘It looks like the series will be taking a break this year, with both Amanda and Alan settling into a new location that they both love and where they can find enough space in their diaries to meet major filming commitments. He’ll still come back!’

Their latest outing, Amanda & Alan’s Greek Job, proved to be their biggest success yet, pulling in an impressive four million viewers per episode.
The eight-part BBC regeneration series follows best friends Amanda and Alan as they take over a dilapidated property on the Greek island of Corfu.
