Elon Musk’s SpaceX eyes June IPO on Nasdaq in what could become the biggest public listing ever: Report

Elon Musk’s rocket and satellite company SpaceX is reportedly preparing for a blockbuster debut on the stock market as early as June 12, according to news reported by Reuters. The company has chosen Nasdaq for the highly anticipated listing, which could turn into the largest IPO in history.

The company is expected to trade under the symbol “SPCX” and plans to publicly file its prospectus as early as next week, accelerating its listing timeline. A roadshow for investors could begin on June 4, while the actual share sale could happen around June 11, sources told Reuters.

The revised schedule reportedly brings SpaceX’s IPO plans forward by several weeks. Previous timelines pointed to a late June listing, around Musk’s birthday. Reuters reports also noted that the faster progress was due in part to a faster-than-expected review of SpaceX’s paperwork by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The IPO is expected to be a defining moment for global public markets, which are showing signs of recovery in 2026 after years of volatility triggered by tariff uncertainty, geopolitical tensions and investors’ diminished appetite for technology listings.

Reuters had previously reported that SpaceX was eyeing Nasdaq in hopes of faster inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 index. The listing would also mark a major victory for Nasdaq over rival New York Stock Exchange amid growing competition for major technology offerings.

SpaceX is reportedly aiming to raise around $75 billion at a valuation of around $1.75 trillion. If this happens, the offering would surpass previous IPO records by a large margin. The valuation is also significantly higher than the $1.25 trillion combined valuation set earlier this year when SpaceX merged with Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI.

The offering is led by major Wall Street banks, including Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, as well as several other firms interested in institutional, retail and international distribution.
