Emmanuel Acho says it was ‘pretty stupid’ for Jaxson Dart to introduce President Trump
Jim Harbaugh has yet to coach his first game with the New York Giants, and his new organization has already become the focus of controversy in the NFL.
Few stories have sparked as much interest and conversation as Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart’s introduction of President Donald Trump in a recent speech. Not only because of Dart’s open support for President Trump, but also because of teammate Abdul Carter’s reaction to it.
Carter shared that he thought it was “artificial intelligence” because he couldn’t believe Dart would do something like that. While Carter and Dart have since talked and patched up their differences, controversy over Dart’s decision has continued.

Many pointed out that many athletes or coaches spoke out in favor of Democratic Party candidates or offered no condemnation or blame for “dividing” the locker room. Steph Curry, LeBron James, Steve Kerr, Gregg Popovich and Doc Rivers are just a few examples. Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Thomas Booker IV literally led the “Athletes for Harris” group trying to get Harris elected. Surprisingly this received little attention.

To avoid having to deal with this contradiction, you can add former NFL player and current commentator Emmanuel Acho to the list of public figures.
Acho said in the new video he sent to X that there must have been an “uncomfortable conversation” about Dart and Carter.

“It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about what’s going on in New York,” Acho began. “Quarterback Jaxson Dart supports President Donald Trump?!?
“He’s allowed to do that, he’s a citizen. If Jaxson Dart is allowed to support Donald Trump, then his teammate is allowed to voice his complaints about him doing that,” he said.
“Here’s my problem,” he continued. “Jaxson Dart, you know how they might feel about that person, be it your brothers, your teammates, your friends, your drive or death. I don’t think there’s much wisdom or disarmament in openly supporting a person that most of your teammates feel resented.”
“So Jaxson Dart, yeah, you can do whatever you want, but I don’t think it’s a wise decision without consulting with some of your teammates,” Acho added.

Towards the end of his video, Acho said it was “pretty stupid” for Dart to make this statement, considering the “backlash” it would cause.

“Was that pretty stupid, considering how he would react to his other siblings who were humans and had human emotions? Absolutely, I don’t think it was smart.”
He also criticized Carter for speaking out, but the problem here is that no athlete speaking out for Democrats faces the same problems. Does Acho care if LeBron or Booker share a locker room? No, of course not, because supporting Kamala Harris is not seen as divisive among those on the left. Of course, Carter and Dart are allowed to vote for or speak in favor of whoever they want. So are LeBron, Curry and Kerr. But they were criticized by the left when right-wing commentators said they were dividing audiences and alienating potential fans.

But now it was Dart that was divisive. Why didn’t Acho note that Carter’s open opposition to Donald Trump could be equally divisive? Because supporting Democrats never causes discord, it just supports Republicans. And especially Trump.
As always, when the left makes their own rules, there’s nothing they hate more than being forced to play by them.
