Trump-backed populist party tops polls for first time, following trend in other allied countries

Germany’s rising populist right -wing party alternative (AFD) defeated the Christian Democratic Union of the Christian Democratic Union of Fiedrich Merz, a mainstream conservative party from popularity in a new survey.

AFD gathered 26% of the support in the poll put forward by the Forsa Social Research Institute and the Institute of Statistical Analysis. According to the survey, Merz’s CDU has received 24% support, the worst result since the 2021 elections.

The questionnaire comes the way that 67% of the Germans were not satisfied with Merz’s post. He was elected in May.

AFD is currently the leading opposition party in the Pemperig of Germany.

Earlier this year, the party, led by Alice Weidel, was classified by the German Intelligence Agency as “pro -extreme”.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a decision and called “disguise and persecution.”

Rubio was sent to X at the time. He continued: “This is not democracy – disguise. The persecution is not the second popular AFD, who is the second in the last elections, but the organization’s deadly open border migration policies against AFD. Germany needs to be reversed.”

The party was founded in 2013 as an anti-Euro movement, but since then it has been harshly on issues such as migration and Islam.
