Engineering student ends life over ‘financial problems’

It was reported that G. Aravind (22), a final year engineering student, committed suicide in his room in Mylavaram in NTR district on Wednesday due to financial problems.

Aravind, a native of Jangareddygudem mandal in Eluru district, was studying in a private college and was reportedly addicted to online betting and had lost huge amounts of money. Unable to bear the financial burden, he ended his life in his room.

Mylavaram Circle Inspector (CI) D. Chandrashekar said that following a complaint, the police registered a case under Section 194 BNS and initiated an investigation. (People with suicidal thoughts can dial ‘100’ for help).
