Murtys declining to take part in Karnataka’s Social and Educational Survey gets social media traction

While various social media posts shared what purported to be a self-declaration letter from Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murty refusing to participate in the ongoing Social and Educational Survey, GBA officials refused to comment citing privacy issues.

GBA Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao said he could not explain the reasons mentioned by the couple.

In a social media post, BJP leader S. Suresh Kumar demanded to know how the document could have been leaked despite the government promising that the data collected would be safe.
