England: Anti-racism group questions Lionesses’ decision not to take knee

Football’s international discrimination in the mouse, Britain’s defender Jess Carter’s social media after the racist abuse of the EURO 2025 matches before the decision to stop taking knees questioned.

On Sunday, the lions, “We and football should find another way to cope with racism is clear” because they will stop the anti -racist gesture, he said.

It is said that the Football Association (FA) completely supports the decision of the lions and shares the idea that the team is now needed anything else.

Piara Powar, General Manager of Mouse, said that it was time to take action against Social media platforms, but it was disappointed in England’s attitude.

“The players decided to stop taking their knees, which is their right,” Powar told BBC Sport. He said.

“I personally do not see the connection between the two. Knee intake is a strong anti -racist action, and the British team has taken the leadership throughout Europe so long.

“Strong actions are now needed to deal with the problems played while talking.”

In October 2023, the online security law became a law that states that social media platforms are obliged to protect users from content such as racism, death threats and a call for violence.

Powar says that it’s time to take action.

“Jess Carter’s racial abuse again emphasizes how toxic some social media users are,” he said. “At the same time, defining and lifting harmful abuse, such as racism, brings the responsibility of platforms.

“In this context, it is a very timely test for the online security law, which aims to protect users and regulate social media platforms.

“The law came into force in autumn and ofcom won the application powers in March. So far, the action against platforms seems to have no public knowledge.”

The UK Football Police Unit (UKFPU) spokesman, said he received a complaint about racist abuse.

“We take all the reports of hate crime extremely seriously and work closely with Jess Carter’s family and social media providers, including Jess Carter’s family and X to define those responsible for messages.”
