England fans all asking the same question as Mexico game time ‘changed’ by 6 hours | UK | News

Fans have reacted to reports that the timing of England’s next big World Cup match has “changed” and there is one thing people are most curious about. England’s match against Mexico at the World Cup will reportedly be rescheduled due to severe tropical storm warnings and worrying weather conditions predicted around Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.
Football Association (FA) bosses were left in the dark over FIFA’s decision to move the match against Mexico to 19.00 due to floods, storms and adverse weather conditions at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. England’s kick-off with the hosts was due to take place at 1pm GMT, but reports have emerged that tournament organizers are making plans to move the kick-off forward by a few hours. Fans who wondered whether the bars would be open until the early hours of the morning shared their thoughts on social media.
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the change over time.
One seemed annoyed that bars might not be open late and wrote: “But can we still go to the bar at 1am?”
Another person wrote: “Now we start at 7pm, bars will still want to close at 5am.”
Some fans are worried about what this could mean for the team, with another writing: “Change in kick-off time for Mexico v England on Sunday.
“This is now an even more disadvantageous situation for the England team.”
Another fan wrote: “Change in kick-off time? Not confirmed yet but maybe we don’t need a bank holiday!”
Marcus Rashford said: “I think for us the way we prepare for the game is the same. We’ve got to be focused. We’ve got to be ready for anything. I think that’s one of our strengths as a group.”
“Everyone, including the players and the staff… we’re ready for whatever challenge comes our way. So obviously it’s not ideal, but at the same time it doesn’t really matter.”
Protocols surrounding electrical storms are based on recommendations from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as opposed to tournament organizers FIFA.
According to regulations, matches must be stopped and postponed if a current is detected within a five-mile radius of the stadium.
