Ensure students do not wait long for Telangana RTC buses, says MD

As schools across Telangana are set to reopen from Monday, June 15, for the academic year 2026-27, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) officials have been instructed to ensure that adequate public transport buses are available on all routes so that students do not face problems in traveling to and from schools.
Company’s Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy on Sunday instructed officials and Depot Managers in all districts to focus on arranging bus services as per school timings, especially for students from rural areas. All previously operated bus routes need to be renewed.
The General Manager said that since there are 227 working days in the academic year, transportation services are planned accordingly. Mr. Reddy said services should be run strictly as per schedule so that students are not kept waiting for long periods of time. If necessary, additional trips need to be made.
