Eric Swalwell’s Prime Video cameo resurfaces amid misconduct allegations

A very brief appearance by former Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., on Prime Video’s “Jury Duty: Corporate Retreat” surprises some viewers in the wake of allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment that led to his resignation.
“This is so crazy,” one user said. wrote to xHe said he did not know that the former congressman, whom he described as “disgraceful”, was in the program as a trainer.
On topics, a user is defined Seeing Swalwell as “a bit annoying” on the show.
Another responded to someone questioning why no one had expressed concerns about Swalwell’s appearance: he said they were I’m happy with how “trimmed” the airtime is.

According to entertainment news platform Decider, Swalwell’s appearance came about 18 minutes into Episode 8 of “Company Retreat.”
None of the seminars Swalwell gives appear in the episode, but he appears in front of the cast and asks if anyone has questions.
After addressing a character, he asks: “Can you talk about the corrosive effect of money in politics?” There is a character who asks: Swalwell put his hands in his pockets and sighed.

Decider noted that filming on the series was completed nearly two years before the latest allegations against Swalwell emerged.
Amazon did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Swalwell’s scant appearance has become a talking point as the former congressman faces a barrage of sexual misconduct and harassment allegations from multiple women who have recently come forward to describe their experiences.
Following the allegations, Swalwell took a break from his job Campaign for governor of California and resigned from his position in Congress.
While he denied allegations of abuse of power, he also admitted that he had made mistakes in the past.

“I deeply apologize to my family, staff, and constituents for the errors of judgment I have made in the past,” Swalwell said in a statement announcing his resignation..
“I will fight the serious, unfounded allegations made against me. But I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I have made.”

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating multiple allegations against Swalwell, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to Fox News Digital.
District attorneys in both Los Angeles and New York have also launched their own investigations.
