Erika Kirk announces private meeting with Candace Owens amid tensions

Erika Kirk announced that she will be meeting privately with commentator Candace Owens, marking the first direct meeting between the two following the public controversy and differing perspectives that emerged following the death of her late husband.

Kirk shared the update in a brief statement on X on Sunday, saying both women agreed to pause all public comments until after the meeting.

“Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private, in-person meeting on Monday, December 15th,” Erika said.

“@RealCandaceO and I agreed that public discussions, livestreams, and tweets will be suspended until after this meeting. I look forward to a productive conversation. Thank you,” Erika added.

The planned discussion between Erika and the former Turning Point USA employee reflects an effort by women to address tensions that have been simmering for weeks over conspiracy theories in a more thoughtful and personal setting.

During a recent town hall on CBS, Erika reflected on the emotional toll of rampant online speculation about her husband’s death: “Hold on. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Stop.” When asked what he would say to people making false claims.

“When you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my Charlie Kirk Show family, when you go after the people I love and make hundreds and thousands of dollars every episode by going after the people I love because they’re somehow in it, no,” Erika also said on the Dec. 10 episode of “Outnumbered.”
