Estonia says Russian jets violated its airspace for 12 minutes

Vilnius/Washington: On Friday, the government said that three Russian military jets violated Estonia’s airspace in an “unprecedented -like -like attack on Friday.

The incident arrives a week after more than 20 Russian aircraft entering the Poland airspace on the night of 9-10 September, and some of NATO Jets and Western officials asked Russia to say that Russia tested the preparation and determination of the alliance.

The airspace violation comes three days after the Russian and Belarus military forces ended the joint military exercises called ZAPAD 2025.

Tallinn said that on Friday, three MIG-31 fighter planes entered the Estonian airspace without permission and left a total of 12 minutes.

Foreign Minister Margus Tsahknna said, “Russia violated the Estonian airspace four times this year, which is unacceptable on its own, but today’s violation, violation of the airspace, unprecedented.”

“Russia’s constantly increasing boundaries and aggression test should be answered by rapidly strengthening political and economic pressure.”

The Russian Ministry of Defense did not respond immediately to the request for comments. Estonia said he called the best Russian diplomat in the country to organize a protest and give a note.

Estonian Defense Forces, the airspace violation of the Island of Vaindloo on Friday morning, the capital Tallinn about 100 kilometers away, he said.

Estonia said that the aircraft did not have flight plans, that the transponders were not opened and that they were not in contact with air traffic control.
