Shock video shows Sydney business being torched

Police are investigating after a business in south-west Sydney was set on fire on Saturday morning after a video appeared online linking the incident to a member of the Sydney underworld.

In the video uploaded to social media, a man can be seen igniting the fire before fleeing the scene.

The clip was uploaded by SCN WorldStar, an account dedicated to Sydney’s underworld.

In the post, SCN WorldStar said the video was posted by an anonymous account along with a message directed at underworld figure Muhammad “Little Crazy” Hamzy.

“This is directed to Muhammad ‘LC’ Hamzy,” the message read.

In the video, it was seen that a person fired the accelerator spilled on the ground for a long time, creating a fireball.

The man’s foot was briefly set on fire before he fled the scene as alarm sounds were heard in the background.

Emergency services were called to the fire in Gow Street, Padstow, at around 2.40am on Saturday, NSW Police said in a statement.

“Fire and Rescue NSW responded and extinguished the fire,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“No injuries have been reported at this time.

“Police officers from Bankstown Police Area Command located the scene and launched an investigation into the fire.

“The fire is considered suspicious.”
