Arrest made after man refuses to leave address

Officers have now made an arrest after a man refused to give up property in Shepshed.

Leicestershire Police said they attended an address in Britannia Street on Sunday morning to attempt to make an arrest. But when officers arrived, one man refused to leave the address.

While the police intervened in the incident, armed police were called and cordons were formed.

On Sunday evening, police said a 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and remained in custody.
