Eurostar passengers are facing travel chaos as the rail giant warns of serious delays and “last minute cancellations” of services. Passengers were advised not to travel due to a problem with the electricity supply of the line. Eurostar wrote on its website: “Due to the power outage in the Channel Tunnel and the subsequent breakdown of the Le Shuttle train, we strongly advise all our passengers to postpone their journey to a different date.

“If you do not have a ticket for travel, please do not come to the station. We are sorry that there may be serious delays and last minute cancellations of trains that can run. Please check live updates on the status of your train on the Train status and schedules page.”
