Ex-chief justice Karki named Nepali PM after protests

The Presidential Office says that Sushila Carki, a former head of justice, is ready to become the temporary leader of Nepal after forcing violent anti-graft protests to resign.

President Ramchandra Paudel’s office announced the appointment of Karki after the negotiations between Paudel, Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel and Nepal’s worst turmoil in years.
