Ex-MLB pitcher Noah Syndergaard blasts Zohran Mamdani as Mets dysfunction reflects New York chaos

Responsibility
Megan Rapinoe got back on topic and defended Angel Reese’s decision to avoid the media and “keep her peace.” Dan Dakich isn’t buying it. Since when did missing work become “taking back the power”? Dan explains why the modern sports culture of “everyone is empowered, no responsibility” is a disease damaging the development of women’s sports.
The apple is rotting from the inside out, and former Mets star Noah Syndergaard knows who to blame.
She appeared on OutKick’s “Tomi Lahren Is Fearless”.Tomi Lahren FearlessThe former MLB pitcher spoke about his former team’s situation and the political climate in New York City.
As the Mets languish at the bottom of the NL East, Syndergaard suggested the problems extend much further.

Speaking with Mets fan Tomi, Syndergaard touched on the departures of fan favorites Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso. For him, the change in the locker room is a harbinger of something bigger happening in the city.
“It’s also ironic,” Syndergaard told Lahren. “These two guys, along with Jacob deGrom, are some of the biggest conservatives I’ve ever played with. It’s crazy what’s going on in New York.”

Despite this, Syndergaard admitted that the appeal of playing in New York never went away.

“But I mean, if I still played for the Mets or the Yankees, I would be like, oh, this is really cool,” he continued. “I get to put the crazy part aside and still focus and play a kid’s game in one of the greatest cities in the world.”
“Although, it’s run by a lunatic or I don’t know. He’s 34… it’s like I’m 33 and I can’t imagine being mayor.”
The “crazy” in question: Democratic Socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Syndergaard, who has been bleeding orange and blue for eight years, expressed disbelief that a 34-year-old with Mamdani’s resume is running the world’s most iconic city.

“Well, he’s about 34 years old and has never held a real job before,” Syndergaard said.
The curse for the Mets appears to be more than just bad luck on the field. Amazin’ struggled to justify a large payroll with little to show for it.
Lahren took the criticism further by taking aim at Mamdani’s political history, describing his “tendency to globalize communism and the Intifada” as the primary rot at City Hall.
Asked what advice he would give to the struggling team, Syndergaard went.
“I guess you should probably stop hanging around with socialist mayors. …
“I hate to say it, but at the end of the day, the Mets go to the Met,” he said. “I think I’m allowed to say that because I bled the orange and blue for eight years. I went to the World Series with them.
“It’s a little disappointing to see A) who they’ve invited into their clubhouse and B) the lack of success they’ve had. It doesn’t make a lot of sense. We have a huge payroll and it’s not generating a huge dividend for them.”

As Mamdani pushes his agenda from City Hall, the Mets are learning that when a city attracts the attention of radicalism, their team can suffer, too.
Until the Mets stop courting the Democratic Socialists, they will likely continue to attract bad luck like a magnet. Meanwhile, Thor will watch and continue to make moves when no one steps up to the plate.
