Ex-Tory councillor banned after saying white men should have black slaves

A former parliamentary member who sent a racist message saying that white men should have black slaves was disqualified of serving any authority for four years.

Andrew Edwards, who served as a TORY member of the Pembrokeshire District Council representing Prendergast Ward, resigned in December 2024 and now violated the rules of behavior.

In 2023, when the first record of 16 seconds emerged, Edwards claimed that it was a “deep fake ılan which was previously created with malicious intention.

In the record, the person can be heard: “There is nothing wrong with skin color.

“I think all the white men should be a black man as a slave or a black woman, you know.

“There is nothing wrong with skin color, only classes lower than us.”

The investigation by Ombudsman for Wales found that he had the voice in the “balance” record and directed the case to the trial panel for Wales.

The businessman also agreed to share the Council information and public comments to his wife, saying that he was “ventilated” when he was under personal pressure.

It has the right to appeal the decision of the trial panel, which has been banned for four years, to the Supreme Court.

Independent candidate Alun Wills won Prendergast Ward after an election in February.
