Excise STF Busts MDMA Racket in Amberpet; Bengaluru Link Uncovered

Excise STF Team B arrested four persons, including a repeat offender, for allegedly possessing and selling MDMA in Amberpet and seized 4.62 grams of the substance. The arrested defendants were stated to be Sheikh Faisal, P. Anshu Prasad, Masood and Preethi Vardhan. The operation was carried out by STF officials led by SI Sandhya in the early hours.

The team stopped a car carrying the suspects and conducted searches, seizing MDMA. Police said the accused allegedly procured around 20 grams of MDMA from Bengaluru and sold the drug in Hyderabad. Authorities stated that Faisal was involved in numerous drug-related cases and escaped in three cases.

Thieves Target Kohed Public School; Stealing Computer Batteries and Kitchen Equipment

Hyderabad: Thieves entered a government school in Kohed within Hayathnagar police limits and stole a 10-kg stove, two rice bowls and their covers from the kitchen section. The defendant also removed six batteries from the computer laboratory and fled with them. School principal N. Tirupatibai lodged a complaint with the police after learning about the theft.

Woman Ends Her Life During Video Call with Her Husband in Vanasthalipuram

Vanasthalipuram police said that 40-year-old housewife Eeramalla Aruna died by suicide during a video call following an argument with her husband E. Ramesh at their home in Sahebnagar. Ramesh informed his wife that he was going to his native village, but Aruna wanted him to go to work.

Despite her wishes, Ramesh went ahead with his travel plans, which upset Aruna. Police said the woman had a video call with her husband and died by suicide while talking to him. Family members immediately informed the police. Following a complaint by the couple’s son Vikranth, the police launched an investigation into the incident. The body was taken to Osmaniye State Hospital for autopsy.

Secunderabad Police Crackdown on Public Nuisance; 110 Reservations in Two-Hour Raid

Secunderabad district police detained 110 people during a special enforcement operation against public consumption of liquor, cigarettes and marijuana. The drive was conducted between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm under the supervision of Secunderabad DCP Rakshitha Krishna Murthy along with ACPs, SHOs and other police personnel. Police have deployed 38 teams to monitor isolated and sensitive spots, including GHMC parks, cemeteries, wine shops and other designated dark areas across the district. Police arrested 1 person for allegedly using marijuana while driving, 28 people for smoking in public places, and 81 people for allegedly consuming alcohol in public places.

The police stated that drinking and smoking in public places causes inconvenience and inconvenience to citizens, and filed a case against all those violating the rules and advised them not to repeat such activities. Similar special campaigns targeting outdoor drinking, smoking in public places and marijuana-related activities will continue in Secunderabad District in the future, officials said.
