T-Shirt Outrage and the Death of Real Journalism | Scam of the Week

This week the media went crazy over a t-shirt.
Anthony Albanese stepped off the plane in his Joy Division shirt and was suddenly branded “anti-Semitic” by the Prime Minister, the Murdoch press and the Liberals. The outrage was instantaneous, the headlines were relentless, and was it real news? Forgotten.
While the media obsess over “T-Shirtgate,” the government is quietly doling out billions of dollars in corporate subsidies, foreign streaming giants are evading local content laws, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission continues to do so… extremely little.
Michael West explains how the outrage machine distracts from real scandals costing Australians billions of dollars.
