Eyewitnesses described Manchester synagogue attack

Shock eyewitnesses described the scene that emerged because four people were injured and stabbed outside a synagogue in Manchester.

Police said that a car was deported to public members during the incident in Crumpsall and that a man believed to be guilty was shot by firearms.

A delivery driver in the area, before realizing that he was a man with a knife, he said he first saw that he looked like a car accident.

“We thought we could see a falling car, so we thought it was a normal collision, but when we approached a little, we saw a man bleeding on the ground. He was just unconscious, assumed to be dead.”

“And then there was a man in front of the car, lying on the floor and there were a few people standing on the road.

The man who gave his name as Gareth, BBC Radio Manchester: “Someone shouted” at that school or in the synagogue, “and then when we looked at the man’s knife and just stabbing the window, trying to get in [the building]And the police came in seconds.

“They gave him a few warnings, he didn’t listen, so they opened fire. He went down to the ground and then he started to return, and then they shot again.”

The attack took place in a part of the city with a large Jewish community in Yom Kippur, the most sacred day of the Jewish calendar.

Armed police called to the scene

The video shared on social media showed that police officers showed a gun to someone who reaches the place in front of the synagogue.

Armed officers shouted to the audience to “return” and “continue”.

It is seen that the person on the ground starts to get up without the sound of firearms and falls to the ground.

He lies still on the place outside the synagogue gates with blood next to another person’s head.

‘Just terrible’

Local quiet Olivia Gold said that they had friends who participated in the synagogue.

PA news agency said: “Very, very busy. I live in the corner, but I wandered to support. Now the police do what they do.

“I went out to see what happened because I heard three helicopters.

“This is just terrible. We are a quiet community, just leave us alone. We don’t want any of this.

“I think the police reaction was absolutely bright. I really came here, they really came quickly.”
