The Trump administration suspended 584 million dollars of federal grants for the University of Los Angeles, Los Angeles University, almost twice the previously considered amount.
UCLA is the first state university aimed at the allegations of violations of civil rights related to anti -Semitism and positive action. The Trump administration froze or paused federal financing on similar allegations against private colleges.

The announcement came with UCLA’s agreement with a Jewish professor who sued three Jewish students and a Jewish professor who sued the university, and in 2024, pro -Palestinian protesters violated their civil rights by allowing pro -Palestinian protesters to prevent their access to campus classes and other fields.
