The Telegraph's front page headline read:

Many of the papers are taking the lead on a leaked Pentagon memo, first reported by Reuters, that suggested the United States was preparing proposals to bolster Argentina’s sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. The Telegraph says its review of US attitudes is a way of “punishing Britain for not supporting its war with Iran”, noting that it has been condemned by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, war veterans and island residents. The paper adds that the memo outlined various options to “punish reluctant allies”, including removing “difficult” ones, such as Spain, from “prestigious” jobs.
