Family rallies around Kai Trump as mom Vanessa’s shock cancer diagnosis overshadows graduation week joy

Family members rallied to support the president’s eldest grandson, Kai Trump, following his mother’s sudden breast cancer diagnosis.

The family was in New York City, apparently celebrating Kai’s graduation from the Benjamin School, a college preparatory school in South Florida where tuition is $41,600.

Kai, 19, shared her graduation on Instagram Stories, sharing a video of herself wearing her blue cap and gown and walking up to the stage to receive her diploma.

The video also showed the graduate getting ready for her big day, as her mother noted: ‘I can’t believe she’s graduating today.’

Kai was later seen meeting his grandmother, Bonnie Haydon, and aunt, Veronika Haydon, for dinner at celebrity hotspot The Mark in New York City in photos exclusively obtained by the Daily Mail.

Kai was casually wearing a black short-sleeved shirt. jeans and sneakers were also photographed embracing their aunt, who looks a lot like her mother Vanessa, before sitting down and enjoying their meal.

But Vanessa, the ex-wife of President Trump’s eldest son Don Jr., was conspicuously absent from the photos, hours after she announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was “working closely” with doctors on a treatment plan.

The mother of five, who is with golf legend Tiger Woods, confessed in her own Instagram post, saying that she had a ‘procedure’ this week.

The teenager wore a casual black short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and sneakers while meeting his family for dinner.

Kai previously shared footage of his graduation from Benjamin School on his Instagram Stories.

‘I would like to share a personal health update. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. “While this is not the news anyone was expecting, I am working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” he said.

Vanessa added that she was grateful to her doctors for performing the procedure.

‘I stay focused and hopeful when surrounded by the love and support of my family, my children, and those closest to me. Thank you for your kindness and support, it truly means more than I can express.’

He also asked for privacy while he focuses on recovery.

Ivanka became the first member of the family to express her support on social media.

‘I pray for continued strength and a speedy recovery. Love you mom,’ she commented on Vanessa’s Instagram post.

Kai was also seen embracing his aunt, who bears a striking resemblance to his mother Vanessa.

He crouched down to talk to his aunt, who was already at the restaurant when he arrived.

Vanessa’s announcement comes after Woods, a 15-time Majors champion, completed an intensive rehabilitation program in Zurich.

He was charged with driving under the influence following a March 27 car crash near his home in Jupiter, Florida.

Police reportedly found prescription opioid pills in his possession during the arrest, which he used to relieve chronic injury pain. Woods pleaded not guilty to drunk driving.

The golfer has since left rehab early to attend Kai’s graduation ceremony.

Despite his arrest and rehab trip, a source told People Tiger is head over heels.
