Fans Boo Hydration Break During England-Croatia Match

Dallas: Loud boos echoed through Dallas Stadium at the start of the first hydration break in the World Cup match between England and Croatia. Thursday While fans signal their disdain for innovation.

FIFA’s mandatory three-minute breaks, one in each half, have been controversial since they were first introduced at this World Cup to help players cope with the heat and humidity of the North American summer.

While some critics say the breaks break the flow of the game, others think they are a cynical ploy to split the game into four parts and give streamers more opportunities to show ads.

Some England fans had stated on social media that they would voice their objections to Wednesday’s match, and when referee Clement Turpin blew his whistle to signal a break in the 22nd minute, booing began from fans of both teams.

There were also boos from the crowd as the first intermission of Norway’s game against Iraq at Boston Stadium began on Tuesday, with temperatures hovering around 23 degrees Celsius (73.4°F).

When the half started Iraq were holding the Norwegians to 0-0 and playing well, but conceded a goal four minutes after play restarted and lost 4-1.
