Fans gather in large numbers to mourn iconic Indian singer

Getty ImagesThe Indian singer-Bestist Zubeen Garg was burned with state dignity and 21 armed salute in the city of Guwahati in Northeast Assam, India.
Hundreds of thousands of people, 52 -year -old singer drowned in Singapore on September 19, went to take the stage at a live concert.
Assam’s Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Garg’s cream was arranged after a second autopsy in the body, he said.
He sang lines from Mayabini, one of the most popular songs in the creamy Ground.
Garg was singing in more than 40 languages and dialects in a career of 33 years. The Hit Hindi song from the 2006 film Gangster film made him national famous.
After passing, Assam declared three days of mourning, and traveled to Guwahati to pay his last respect to the singer, including politicians, musicians and the armies of fans from all over the region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has previously mied Garg X and said he would be remembered for “rich contribution to music”.

Garg’s career started only at the age of 19 and still started at university. The first music album Anamika, released in 1992, was an instant graphics.
Stardise rise coincided with a period of violence connected to the separatist groups in Assam. Live melodies about love, hope and despair – adorned with memorable riffs – otherwise it brought a clean breath to a tense social environment.
In 2000, when he tried his acting and directing with a Garg Assem film Tumi Mor Matho Mor, his popularity touched new summits.
His face regularly jumped to big advertising boards and his songs could be heard in markets and buses and university events and social meetings.
He was a fashion icon between Assam’s youth and founded a bigger personality than life with hesitation choices with fashion sunglasses and torn jeans.
Garg was also the most sought-after artist during Bihu-a cultural festival celebrated at Assem in mid-April. Throughout the month, thousands of people attended live concerts.
Most of the Garg fans describe it as “emotion” – a pop culture figure that is unlike anyone.
Regional Folk Music and Borgeet, Bihu and Zikir, such as spiritual sub -species could easily sing a rock song. This versatility expanded its fan base throughout generations and communities.

Beyond music, Garg was also known for his activism, although he never associated himself with a political party.
Despite the threat, he regularly condemned the violence of the separatist groups in the region.
In 2019, he played an important role in mobilizing people against a controversial new citizenship law offering citizenship to non -Muslim minorities from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
In 2024, Garg joined the Guwahati residents to protesters to cut trees to build a new overpass against the government led by Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Garg’s fans saw him twice before mixing the feathers.
